1. Branding Rationale: “The Trajectory of Growth”

The Core Concept: The new branding for the Rwanda Cricket Association
(RCA) is built around the concept of dynamic motion and upward
progression. It visualizes the association not just as an administrator of
the sport, but as the engine propelling cricket forward in Rwanda. The
design perfectly embodies the slogan, “Growing at every step.”

Irembo Brand: Meaning, Story and Background

We live in an era where information and services are open and accessible
through various platforms. Every Rwandan home has irembo, a gateway
access, a welcoming and open platform for visitors and in laws / abakwe.
For abakwe when a family grants you irembo it’s a sign of an open
nvitation to their home. Traditionally the word Irembo is synonymous
with Access, Service and Openness. The word irembo means gateway
or door and represents literal access. The Irembo brand is welcoming,
user-friendly and open. Irembo’s role as a platform is to grant access
to information and services, it acts as the gateway to all Rwandan
Government services and provides this service with ease, efficiency.

Development of Irembo logo and identity.

The name Irembo and Its identity revolve around its traditional use
and heritage. The design of the icon was inspired by the design of the
traditional Rwandan home.

The Irembo icon was inspired by the design of traditional
Rwandan home. The traditional Rwandan home design has two types of
irembo that inspired the irembo icon design.
1. Irembo ry’inka / for cows
2. Irembo ry’abakwe n’abashyitsi / for visitors and in laws

Development of Irembo Icon

We have been inspired to work on a new type of irembo, Inspired by
the traditional meaning and concept of irembo. Inspired by the design
of traditional Rwandan home. Irembo icon is about openness, of irembo,
service layers, steps and circles service networks all brought together in
one place.

The typography is about movement, friendliness, informal (lower case)
