LEGEND – Extra Stout Beer Launch

Legend is a brand of extra stout beer introduced by Bralirwa Brewery in Rwanda. This product has been added to the
brewery’s big brand lineup in 2015.

To introduce Legend, a bold and premium extra stout beer under
Bralirwa’s flagship portfolio, we designed a two-phase advertising
campaign to build intrigue and excitement around the launch.


1. Teaser Phase – Newspaper Strip Ads:


To spark curiosity and anticipation, we rolled out a series of teaser
strip ads in national newspapers over one week. These minimal, bold
strips used suggestive language and visual hints—without revealing
the product—to plant intrigue in the minds of consumers. This phase
positioned Legend as something strong, mysterious, and worth
discovering.


2. Reveal Phase – Key Visual for Launch:


We then unveiled the key visual featuring the Legend bottle and fire and
ice first coming together, in a premium setting. The visual emphasized
strength, richness, and character—core attributes of the stout. It was
designed to position Legend as a drink for those who appreciate
boldness and heritage, with sleek design and a confident tone.


Objective:


• Establish Legend as Bralirwa’s premium stout offering.
• Generate curiosity and drive early buzz with a teaser campaign.
• Build strong brand identity at launch through bold visual storytelling
